Diabetes and Types of Diabetes
Diabetes is a chronic disease which occurs when the pancreas are unable to make insulin, or when the cells inside the body fail to take up the insulin produced by the body.
Types of diabetes:
There are mainly 3 types of diabetes are present – Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes: Type 1 diabetes occurs when the body produces very little amount or no insulin. Patient needs to take daily insulin injections to keep the blood glucose levels under control.

Type 2 diabetes: In Type 2 diabetes the body produces sufficient amount of insulin but the cells fail to take up and make use of the insulin produced by pancreas

Gestational diabetes (GDM): Gestational diabetes observed in pregnant women. It may lead to health issues to both mother and fetus.

Diabetic nephropathy
Diabetic nephropathy is a serious kidney-related disease of type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes, can also called diabetic kidney disease. Diabetic nephropathy occurs when the filters in kidneys (Glomeruli) of diabetic patients that filter blood get damaged and become leaky due to hyperglycemia resulting in proteinuria.

Surgery and Care
A combination of physical activities and diet promotion through support programs and counseling decrease weight, improve cholesterol levels, improve systolic blood pressure and decrease risk of diabetes. Diabetic Foot Complications
Diabetic patients are prone to having foot problems, because diabetic neuropathy and poor circulation. Neuropathy causes loss of sensation in feet, taking away the ability to feel discomfort and pain, so the patient is unable to detect an injury or irritation in foot. Poor blood circulation in the feet reduces the patient’s ability to heal, making it hard for even a tiny cut to resist infection.
